Mutual relations of Belarusian and Russian language in Belarus and reflection of language situation in education

The present diploma thesis deals with the co-relation of language situation in Belarus and the educational system. The first chapter is devoted to historical relations of Polish, Russian and Belarusian in the period starting from the 19th century up to the present moment, to the country's language question and the role of religious affiliation in the choice of the language. The second chapter analyzes primarily the reflection of changes in the language policies at the turn of 1980's and 1990's, as well as the position of Belarusian in the educational system and the comparison of presence of both languages on all educational levels. The third chapter contains the description of the significant role of bilingualism in contemporary world, presentation of Belarusian bilingualism, as well as possible use of the thesis for various academic purposes. The bachelor thesis focuses on the comparison of the vocabulary of skiing between Czech, Russian and English. The thesis compares lexical units related to downhill, cross-country or acrobatic skiing. The practical part examines the origins of individual words, phrases, names of particular sports equipment or activities. Furthermore, the bachelor thesis deals with the complexities in the field of translation or the complexities in the field of researching the origin of individual terms.
Representative Problems Faced by Beginning Teachers of Russian and Czech

The theoretical part focuses on the aspects of the teaching profession and teacher's competencies, followed by a description of beginning teachers of the Czech language and Russian as a second foreign language. This thesis also summarises the most common problems faced by these teachers. In the practical part, these problems are compared by a semi-structured interview with beginning teachers. In these days, beginning teachers of Czech and Russian are faced with problems related to the integration of arrived Ukrainian pupils in the context of the war in Ukraine. Most respondents point to the same gaps in the university preparation, namely the problematic form of internships, teaching of professional subjects, didactics, pedagogy and psychology. As for the introduction to the position, the most common form of support is the introducing teacher, who was assigned to most of the respondents, but cooperation was often formal or otherwise dysfunctional. Beginning teachers of Czech and Russian have the same issues with the textbook series, that they must use, and with the pupil evaluation. The thesis is based on the theory of cognitive linguistics, especially on theory of semantic school of Lublin. Comparison of Adjectives in Russian and English Languages from a Linguodidactic Point of View

This diploma thesis deals with the comparison of adjectives in Russian and English languages from a linguodidactic point of view. The theoretical part is based on the general linguistic knowledge of this particular part of speech and explains the rules for the comparison of adjectives in both languages. Furthermore, the theoretical part also provides linguodidactic context of acquiring this grammatical phenomenon. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of pedagogical documents and textbooks used for teaching Russian and English languages. The last chapter of the thesis shows the results of a research focused on testing pupils attending secondary schools. The aim here is to prove the knowledge of comparative and superlative forms of adjectives in Russian and English languages on the basis of a written test. The thesis is devoted to the problems of communication on the Russian Internet (RuNet). The aim is to provide a basic description and comparison of selected language tools and strategies which the Internet users use, especially with regard to the form of communication (online, offline). In the theoretical part will be described the selected communication tools and strategies on chats and forums, in the practical part will be presented the examples from an analysis of web resources.
Folklore Texts in Russian Language Teaching

The thesis focuses on the use of folklore texts in Russian language textbooks intended for Czech learners. Selected textbooks were chosen to be analysed. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the summary of theoretical findings in the field of folklore and relationship between language, culture and oral tradition. Theoretical part explains the term folklore as a part of discipline that deals with folklore studies. The term is elaborated on and presented in relationship with language, culture and oral tradition. Practical part informs about the results of analysis of the didactic files with its aim to find methods of folklore texts application.
